I n May 2000 I found a sample of a typeface called „York“ in an old type specimen book. Neither WhatTheFont nor the anyone from alt.binaries.fonts could match it to an existing digital font.

So I tried to make something similar myself, and this is the result. „Jorvik“ is the Viking name for the City of York, England. Since my version looked a bit shaky and not so clean as the sample I had seen, I added „Informal“ to its name.
