Sefer - Hebrew for letter, book scroll is the name of a font
made up largely of parts of the Hebrew alphabet. There are other fonts like Shalom
(aka Peace) or Moses light around as freeware. But this one is actually based on
the real standard characters used in contemporary bible print.
Earlier stages of this
font have been published and discussed in alt.binaries fonts in 2000. Melinda
Windsor contributed a new H, and Apostrophe made useful suggestions.
There are no upper- or lowercase letters in Hebrew. This is why I couldn't be
talked into making lowercase characters for this font. Someone in a.b.f made a
small caps version under the same name. I disapprove of that
version, it should not be circulated.
